Amanda Holden Is The Sole Survivor on Britain’s Got Talent
Author: katy | Filed under: Music NewsThe rumours about Mr Michael McIntyre leaving the Britain’s Got Talent panel of judges are true. While the nation is very sad, Michael’s fans will be happy to know that Michael is doing a 100-date tour next year and will be channelling all his energy into that.
Michael has allegedly been weighing up options, saying he will miss being on the panel as he thoroughly enjoyed it. Michael told a source: “I really loved being a judge on the show but I’ve been itching to get back on stage myself.” ITV boss Peter Fincham is said to have been fighting to keep McIntyre on board. However, there was little fighting be done once the comedian had made up his mind about what he wanted to do.
Since Simon’s Departure, we’ve seen Piers, McIntyre and the Hoff bid farewell to the show. The Sun recently told how bosses had decided to replace 59 year old judge and previous Baywatch star, David Hasslehoff. According to them the show “lacked sparkle”. Although Hasslehoff was a fun judge, he’s been axed due to him having little connection with the acts, according to an inside source.
Now, pregnant Amanda Holden is the remaining judge and sole survivor. The nation’s viewings slipped last year, from 12.17 to its lesser amount of 11.6 million viewers when it returned last April. With such a dramatic slip, bosses are said to be trying to find new judges which will bring back the sparkle to the show, and hopefully this will show in the successful contestants.
