Adele Bags Golden Globe With Bond Song ‘Skyfall’
Author: admin | Filed under: Music NewsAdele has started the New Year with yet another big win – this time, winning a Golden Globe for the James Bond theme track ‘Skyfall’.
Beating tracks from The Hunger Games and Les Miserables, Adele’s rendition of the Bond hit ‘Skyfall’ bagged the trophy for Best Original Song at the prestigious Golden Globes award show.
Adele’s win at the Golden Globes was the star’s first big public appearance, since the recent birth of her son in October. The Grammy Award winner looked flawless on the night and as always, brought a chuckle to the star studded audience with her excited acceptance speech.
Whilst onstage, Adele was visibly shocked and overjoyed at her big win, saying: ‘Honestly, I’ve come for a night out with my friend Ida; we’re new mums. We’ve literally come for a night out. I was not expecting this. Thank you so much!’
‘It is very strange to be here. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your world for a night. It’s amazing. We’ve been pissing ourselves laughing all night…And this is for my boyfriend Simon, who convinced me to do it, and my lovely son. Thank you so much.’
The theme track for last year’s Bond film ‘Skyfall’ was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, and Adele has said that recording the track alongside a 77-piece orchestra was one of the proudest moments of her life.
