Adele, the startlingly soulful singer, released her album ‘21’ in January this year. The singer’s album was primarily at number one in the albums charts for 11 weeks and has now re-claimed her pole position at the top spot, knocking Beyoncé’s album ‘4’ to second place. The ‘Make You Feel My Love’ singer hasn’t fallen lower than number two in the UK album charts since entering the charts 25 weeks ago.
With Adele’s first album ‘19’ sitting pretty at number 3, she has achieved an amazing accomplishment to have both her first and second album within the top three of the albums chart. Lady Gaga’s album ‘Born This Way’ is sitting at number 4, followed by The Horrors at number 5, with ‘Skying’.
Focusing on the singles chart for this week; popular boy-band The Wanted receive their 2nd number one with ‘Glad You Came’. DJ Fresh ‘Louder’ comes in at number two while Ed Sheeran’s ‘The A Team’ is at number three.
